Deborah O’Brien, LCSW
Deborah is a qualified psychotherapist who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Certified Clinical Supervisor for mental health Professionals in the state of Virginia. She has clinical expertise in treating general anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and personality disorders in children, adolescents, and adults as well as helping families dealing with various stressors. She specializes in providing clinical therapy with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Deborah has over 20 years of experience in the mental health and social work field working with Anxiety, Trauma, ADHD, Relationship and Marital difficulties, and Special Populations such as those who are addicted to drugs or alcohol. She has a broad range of experience varying from the mental health arena, adolescence and the school system, family, & individual therapy, working with domestic violence survivors, case management, crisis intervention, and child protective services. These experiences in the field of social work have provided her with a well-rounded exposure to a variety of social service settings that have prepared her to adapt to any situation in the mental health and social work field.
Deborah O’Brien is the founder of Fairfax Therapy Solutions. Her professional experience has included working as a Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Program Manager. She has developed and facilitated parenting, adolescent and social skills groups.

Loretta Fredericks, LCSW
Loretta is a licensed clinical social worker with a specialty in treating adults with addictions, trauma, and life transitions, in addition to experience helping clients with depression, anxiety, traumatic brain injury, and other problems of living. Her approach is psychodynamic as well as cognitive-behavioral with an awareness of the connection between body and mind. The inclusion of mindfulness-based interventions helps clients relax, as well as get a greater level of awareness of self.
Her education includes an MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University, and post-graduate training at the Washington School of Psychiatry with a two-year training program in clinical psychotherapy completed in 2012, and a three-year training program in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) completed in 2016. She has additional training in group psychotherapy, trauma treatment and addiction treatment. Loretta is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC).
In addition, she is a certified Health Counselor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York. Her practice in mindfulness and meditation includes training in various mind/body modalities as well as leading meditation groups.
Loretta Fredericks is an independent practitioner solely responsible for her clinical work.
Margaret "Maggie" Gassert, MSW
Margaret “Maggie” Gassert received her Bachelor’s in Health Promotion at American University. A graduate of University of Maryland Baltimore Master’s in Social Work program with Clinical Behavioral Health Concentration, Margaret has hours of onsite training and online training in Rape Abuse Incest National Network (RAINN) and YWCA Violence Intervention and Prevention Program. In addition to the training, Margaret has various certifications including Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment (CANS) and Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT).
Maggie has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. A special interest has been alcohol and drug addiction. She has worked with individuals experiencing homelessness with co-occurring disorders, co-occurring disorders and developmental disabilities, and adolescents with emotional disabilities and autism. Additionally, she is a current health educator for Inova Healthsource Childbirth Programs.
Currently, she is working toward her LCSW. At this time she does not accept insurance. She will meet with clients for a low fee rate.
Kelly Terry, LCSW
Kelly Terry is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is passionate about helping individuals develop the skills and confidence needed to overcome the challenges they are facing in their lives. She received her Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech with a concentration in psychology and sociology. She then earned her masters in clinical social work (MSW) from Virginia Commonwealth University and went on to obtain her LCSW. She has been providing clinical services with individuals, families, and children in the home and outpatient therapy settings. During her career Kelly has been asked to take the role as as advisor, supporter, and supervisor for her staff.
In addition to her formal education, Kelly has received training in the areas of child development, CBT, play therapy, applied behavioral analysis, and trauma-focused treatment. Areas of expertise include children and families, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, ADHD, and adjustment challenges.
Kelly Terry works from a family systems approach while utilizing a differential approach with children, adolescents, and adults. Her focus is to recognize the importance of the client's personal experience and addressing individual needs.

Kim is currently getting her Bachelor’s in Health Systems Management from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA. She is the current Vice President and former Treasurer at Mason's Academy Health Chapter, a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to advancing the fields of health services and research and health policy. Kim is bilingual in English and Vietnamese.
